Fusion Signal

The visual strategy simulator with a dual-panel display. Like Fusion Echo, Signal uses a split architecture: racing stripes on the price chart show signal activity directly on price, while the histogram and signals live in a separate panel — leaving your Builder panel completely free for indicator math.

While you build in Fusion Builder, Fusion Signal approximates how your strategy will behave — showing entries, stops, trailing stops, profit targets, flatten conditions, and ghost signals in real time as you develop.

How the Display Works

Two output layers. One chart window. Builder panel stays clean.

🏎️

Price Chart — Racing Stripes

Vertical stripe markers appear directly on the price chart at the bars where signal events occur. Long entries, short entries, and other signal conditions render as colored stripes overlaid on price — giving you immediate visual context of where your strategy acts relative to price movement.

📊

Separate Panel — Histogram & Signals

The detailed histogram and all signal overlays — entries, stops, targets, trailing stops, flatten conditions, ghost signals — render in a dedicated separate panel, just like Fusion Echo. Your Builder panel stays completely free to run indicator math without any display clutter.

What Fusion Signal Visualizes

▲▼

Long & Short Entries

Entry signals rendered on both the price chart (racing stripes) and the panel — showing exactly where your entry conditions trigger on each bar.

Stop Losses & Trailing Stops

Stop loss levels and trailing stop movements visualized in the panel — see how your risk management logic tracks price through a simulated position.

🎯

Profit Targets

Target levels displayed so you can evaluate whether your exit logic places targets at sensible locations relative to your entries and market structure.

Flatten Conditions

Flatten events marked in the panel — see whether your flat-to-market logic fires at the bars you intend during a visual review of your developing strategy.

Ghost Signals

Ghost signals show conditions that triggered but were blocked — by position sizing, gate conditions, or other filters. Essential for understanding your strategy’s filtering logic.

🔄

Live as You Build

Every change in Fusion Builder updates Signal instantly — no recompile, no reload. Adjust a threshold, swap a block, watch the racing stripes and histogram shift immediately.

⚠️

Visual Simulator — Not a Backtest

Fusion Signal is a visual approximation tool for development purposes. Live automated strategies can and do behave differently than what the simulator shows. Factors including order fill timing, slippage, data feed differences, execution latency, and edge-case bar handling all affect live performance.

Always backtest thoroughly in NinjaTrader®®’s Strategy Analyzer and run in simulation mode before any live deployment.

Where Signal Fits in Your Workflow

1
Build your logic in Fusion Builder — wire your indicator and strategy blocks on the canvas
2
Watch Fusion Signal simulate live — racing stripes on the price chart, histogram and signals in the panel. Iterate until the behavior looks right
3
Backtest with Fusion Strategy — export to Fusion Strategy and run a proper backtest in NT’s Strategy Analyzer
4
Simulate before going live — run in NinjaTrader®’s simulation mode before any live account deployment
