A dedicated signal visualization panel for Fusion Builder Signal Viz.
Fusion Signal gives signal state its own chart panel. It pairs with Fusion Builder by Pair Color, then displays the Builder’s Signal Viz output: histograms, markers, ghost markers, exits, flatten markers, panel backgrounds, and legend.
Fusion Signal is visual only. It does not calculate a setup, submit orders, manage stops or targets, enforce risk rules, or replace Fusion Strategy backtesting.
Fusion Signal needs a paired source on the same chart. The supported V1.0 workflow is pairing it with Fusion Builder for design-time Signal Viz.
The pairing is controlled by Pair Color. Fusion Builder and Fusion Signal must use the same Pair Color.
Most display controls stay in Fusion Builder’s Signal Viz tab. Fusion Signal’s own NinjaTrader properties mainly expose the Pair Color.
Fusion Signal:
Fusion Signal does not own the signal logic. It renders the state produced by the paired Builder.
Use Fusion Signal when:
Use Fusion Indicator when you want to run a saved SetupID without the Builder canvas. Use Fusion Strategy when you want automated order submission or strategy backtesting.
If the route control is missing, Fusion Builder has not detected a matching Fusion Signal companion yet. Confirm the same chart, same instrument, and same Pair Color, then apply changes or refresh the chart.
Pair Color is the sync identity used to connect Fusion Builder and Fusion Signal.
Available colors:
Pair Color does not control signal colors. Signal colors come from Builder’s Signal Viz settings.
Example:
| Fusion Builder | Fusion Signal | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Blue | Paired |
| Blue | Red | Waiting |
| Gold | Gold | Paired |
Fusion Signal only shows the full Signal Viz panel when Fusion Builder routes Signal Viz to it.
In Fusion Builder:
When routed to Fusion Signal, the separate panel owns:
Chart background stripes still follow Builder’s stripe location / racing stripe settings.
Fusion Signal can show:
Marker meanings:
| Marker | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Triangle up | Long entry |
| Triangle down | Short entry |
| Diamond | Exit |
| Square | Flatten |
| Dot | Suppressed or blocked raw signal |
The exact colors, opacity, marker size, histogram opacity, background opacity, and legend visibility come from Builder’s Signal Viz settings.
Fusion Signal follows the histogram mode selected in Builder.
Shows signal-chain truth.
Use Raw Signal when you want to see what the entry conditions are producing before position-management rules, duplicate-signal rules, or execution-style preview logic interpret the signal.
Typical states:
Shows Builder’s supported execution-style preview.
Use Execution Preview when you want to see how Builder expects entries, exits, flatten events, and supported managed-exit outcomes to appear under the current Signal Viz settings.
Execution Preview is useful for design review, but it is not a tick-accurate live order replay.
Matches Fusion Signal to the Builder instance on the same chart.
Default: Blue.
Change this when you have more than one Builder / Signal pair on the same chart.
Fusion Signal uses NinjaTrader’s standard Calculate property. The default is On bar close. Intrabar repaint is driven by the paired source when available, but the user-facing signal display should still be validated on Playback or Sim before using it for decisions.
Fusion Signal opens as its own indicator panel. It uses a fixed signal scale from approximately -1.5 to +1.5 so markers and histogram lanes remain readable.
Use NinjaTrader’s normal indicator panel controls if you need to move or reorder the panel.
Fusion Signal is a display surface. It is not the authority for fills, order timing, or account state.
Use this validation order:
If a strategy does not trade, debug the Builder setup, Fusion Indicator runtime output, Fusion Strategy status, and NinjaTrader account state. Fusion Signal can help you see signal state, but it is not the trading engine.
Fusion Signal is a design-time Builder companion in V1.0.
Pairing Fusion Signal directly with a running Fusion Strategy’s embedded indicator is not a supported V1.0 workflow. If you want a strategy-related visual source, add a standalone Fusion Indicator with the same SetupID and use the supported chart companion workflow from there.
This limitation is documented in the V1.0 Known Limitations guide.
Fusion Signal has not found a matching source.
Check:
If it still waits, refresh the chart or press F5.
Fusion Builder only shows the Fusion Signal route option after it detects a matching Fusion Signal on the chart.
Fix:
Check:
Panel background depends on Builder’s stripe/background settings.
Two Builders may share the same Pair Color. Give each Builder / Signal pair a unique Pair Color.
Fusion Signal is a visual review surface. Validate order behavior in Fusion Strategy backtests, Playback, or Sim101. Execution Preview is not a tick-accurate fill simulator.
Q: Does Fusion Signal place trades?
A: No. Fusion Signal is visual only.
Q: Can Fusion Signal run without Fusion Builder?
A: The supported V1.0 workflow is pairing with Fusion Builder on the same chart.
Q: Where do I change colors and marker settings?
A: In Fusion Builder’s Signal Viz tab. Fusion Signal follows the paired Builder settings.
Q: Why does Fusion Signal have no SetupID field?
A: Fusion Signal does not run a SetupID by itself. It reads signal state from the paired source.
Q: Can I use multiple Fusion Signal panels?
A: Yes. Use a unique Pair Color for each Builder / Signal pair.
Q: Is Execution Preview the same as a strategy backtest?
A: No. It is a Builder-side execution-style visual preview. Use Fusion Strategy for backtesting and Playback or Sim101 for execution validation.
