Fusion Echo User Guide

An optional chart companion that mirrors selected Fusion Builder plots onto the price chart or another chart panel.

Fusion Echo lets you keep the Builder canvas clean while still displaying selected outputs where you want to see them. You choose which Result / Plot blocks route to Fusion Echo inside Fusion Builder, then add Fusion Echo to the same chart and match the pair color.

Fusion Echo is visual only. It does not calculate strategy logic, submit orders, flatten positions, or enforce risk rules.

Before You Start

Fusion Echo needs a Fusion Builder instance on the same chart. The Builder is the source of the values. Fusion Echo mirrors selected Builder outputs.

The pairing is controlled by Pair Color. The Fusion Builder and Fusion Echo must use the same Pair Color.

Fusion Echo defaults to the price chart panel. You can move it to another panel using NinjaTrader’s normal indicator panel controls.

What Fusion Echo Does

Fusion Echo:

• Pairs with Fusion Builder by color.
• Mirrors Result / Plot blocks routed to Fusion Echo.
• Copies the plot name, color, style, width, and dash style from the Builder.
• Updates when Builder mappings or values change.
• Can render Builder presentation visuals such as lines, fills, and markers.
• Can auto-scale the chart to include echoed plot values when enabled.

Fusion Echo does not create its own trading logic. It only displays values that Fusion Builder publishes for it.

When to Use Fusion Echo

Use Fusion Echo when you want to:

• Put one or more Builder outputs directly on the price chart.
• Keep the Builder panel less crowded.
• Show only the final outputs from a large Builder design.
• Display overlay-style levels, signals, or bands while still editing in Builder.
• Separate different groups of plots into different chart panels.
• Use presentation fills, markers, or horizontal lines from a Builder design in a companion display.

Use Fusion Indicator instead when you want to run a saved SetupID without the Builder canvas on the chart.

Basic Setup

1. Add Fusion Builder to a chart.
2. Add Fusion Echo to the same chart.
3. In Fusion Builder, set Pair Color to a color such as Blue.
4. In Fusion Echo, set Pair Color to the same color.
5. In Fusion Builder, open the Result / Plot block you want to mirror.
6. Set that block’s plot target to Fusion Echo.
7. Click Apply if the NinjaTrader properties window is open.

Fusion Echo’s indicator name updates as it pairs and discovers mirrored plots. If it says waiting, it has not found a matching Builder pair yet.

Pair Color

Pair Color is the sync tag that tells Fusion Echo which Builder to read.

Available colors:

• Blue
• Green
• Orange
• Purple
• Teal
• Red
• Pink
• Gold

The color is only an identity tag. It does not force the plot color. Plot color still comes from the routed Result / Plot block.

Pairing Rules

• One Builder and one Echo with the same Pair Color is the normal setup.
• If you use multiple Builder instances on one chart, give each one a different Pair Color.
• If you use multiple Fusion Echo instances on one chart, give each one a different Pair Color unless you intentionally want to troubleshoot a duplicate-pair setup.
• The Builder and Echo must be on the same chart.

Routing Builder Plots to Fusion Echo

Fusion Echo only mirrors plots that Builder routes to it.

In Fusion Builder:

1. Select the Result / Plot block.
2. Find the plot target / render destination setting.
3. Choose Fusion Echo.
4. Set the plot name, color, width, style, and dash style as desired.

Plots routed to Fusion Echo are kept transparent in the Builder panel and displayed by Fusion Echo instead.

If you change a plot back to Fusion Builder, Fusion Echo removes that mapping and clears the mirrored plot.

If you disable a plot, Fusion Echo stops mirroring it.

Property Reference

Pair Color

Matches Fusion Echo to a Fusion Builder on the same chart.

Default: Blue.

Change this when you have more than one Builder / Echo pair on the same chart.

Auto Scale

Controls whether NinjaTrader auto-scales the chart panel to include Fusion Echo plot values.

Default: Off.

Turn this on when echoed values are above or below the visible price range and you want the chart to expand the scale automatically. Leave it off when you do not want an echoed line to stretch the price scale.

Lifecycle Diagnostics

Prints targeted pairing and mapping diagnostics.

Default: Off.

Leave this off during normal use. Turn it on only if support asks you to capture pairing or mapping diagnostics.

NinjaTrader Panel

Fusion Echo uses NinjaTrader’s normal indicator panel placement. By default it overlays the price chart.

To move it:

1. Open the chart’s Indicators… window.
2. Select Fusion Echo.
3. Change the NinjaTrader panel assignment.
4. Click Apply.

Working With Multiple Echoes

You can use multiple Builder / Echo pairs on the same chart.

Example:

Keep colors unique. Duplicate colors can make it unclear which Builder an Echo should follow.

Presentation Visuals

Fusion Echo can render presentation visuals from the paired Builder design:

• Horizontal lines.
• Fill regions.
• Conditional markers.

These are configured in Fusion Builder’s presentation tools. Fusion Echo reads the paired Builder’s presentation settings and displays the relevant visuals for the mirrored plots.

If a presentation visual references a plot that is not routed to Fusion Echo, it may not appear in Fusion Echo.

Known V1.0 Limitation

Fusion Echo mirrors displaced plot lines, including forward and backward displacement. In V1.0, presentation fill regions in Fusion Echo do not follow displacement.

What you may see:

• The echoed line is displaced correctly.
• A fill region tied to that line appears at the undisplaced bar position.

Workaround:

• Use the Builder panel or Fusion Indicator for displaced-fill visualization.

This is documented as a V1.0 known limitation and is planned for a later release.

Troubleshooting

Fusion Echo says waiting

Fusion Echo has not found a matching Builder pair.

Check:

• Fusion Builder is on the same chart.
• Builder and Echo use the same Pair Color.
• The Builder has loaded successfully.
• NinjaTrader has applied the property changes.

If the chart was just recompiled or reloaded, click Apply or press F5 after confirming the colors.

Nothing appears

Check:

• At least one Result / Plot block is routed to Fusion Echo.
• The plot is enabled.
• The Builder has enough bars to calculate the output.
• The plot is not outside the visible scale.
• Auto Scale is on if you want the chart to include the echoed values in the scale.

The plot appears on the wrong panel

Open NinjaTrader’s indicator settings for Fusion Echo and change the panel assignment.

The wrong Builder is paired

This usually means two Builder instances share the same Pair Color. Give each Builder / Echo pair a unique color.

A plot style did not update

Change the style in the Builder Result / Plot block, then click Apply. Fusion Echo follows the Builder’s plot mapping and appearance.

Presentation fill does not line up with a displaced line

This is the V1.0 displaced-fill limitation. Use the Builder panel or Fusion Indicator for that displaced-fill view.

Output window diagnostics are noisy

Turn Lifecycle Diagnostics off. It is intended for targeted troubleshooting, not normal use.

Q: Does Fusion Echo trade?

A: No. Fusion Echo is visual only.

Q: Can Fusion Echo run without Fusion Builder on the chart?

A: No. Fusion Echo mirrors a live Builder instance on the same chart. Use Fusion Indicator when you want to run a saved SetupID without the Builder canvas.

Q: Can I pair one Fusion Echo with a Fusion Strategy?

A: Fusion Echo is a Builder companion. For strategy visualization, use Fusion Strategy’s own chart surfaces or add Fusion Indicator with the same SetupID.

Q: Why are Echo plots transparent in the Builder panel?

A: Plots routed to Fusion Echo are published by Builder for Echo to display. Keeping them transparent in the Builder panel prevents duplicate visuals.

Q: Can I use more than one Fusion Echo on a chart?

A: Yes. Use a different Pair Color for each Builder / Echo pair.

Q: Should Lifecycle Diagnostics be enabled?
